I love that this collection has a dreamy, etheral feel to it, while keeping in mind what looks good on a woman's body. This fairy princess is grown and sexy! :o)

I love the crazy ladies... NY fashion week favorites

Who are Lola Re's fashion week favorites (so far)?! Honorable mentions go to Y-3, Victoria Beckham, Rachel Roy, and Hutson. There can only be a select few winners, and the prizes, for color and pretty shapes go to Peter Som, and for layering and conceptuality, TSE. Congratulations!!!! :P

An Evening in New York

More of my favorites from NY Mercedes Benz Fashion Week so far are the strange, delightful evening gowns from Monique L'huillier.

These dresses aren't just the usual going out/evening gown mulch, they're interesting to look at and eventful to wear.

Guess you had to be there...

Hi crickets,

I was a little disappointed with Oslo Fashion Week. There wasn't great coverage of the event, and in addition, many of the designers I couldn't really get into. One happy exception was Iselin Engan. She's the star of the Norwegian fashion scene, and she makes floaty, wearable, pretty clothes. Her website isn't up yet, and I haven't found any pics of A/W 09, but here are some of my favorite looks from her past collections. As you can see, clothes that grab my eye are ones that are feminine, immediately wearable and translate seamlessly into my life. i.e.: ready to wear. :oP

Wonderful! Besides, I can't be too upset, because starting on Monday, it's FASHION MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure there will be enough to love and enough inspiration between New York, Milan, Paris and LONDON to go around.
