I'm thinking sheer. I'm thinking backless. I'm thinking short. Not all in the same outfit of course. But that's how I'm going to reinterpret the 60s to something that's more appropriate for us ladies with T&A.
It came to me the other day, when I thought, well it's got to be Heather Graham in Drugstore Cowboy.
Heather Graham is obviously quite the sex kitten, but she's been cast in 60s-era films like Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me
(sheer-ish dress, but that film won't be discussed here I'm afraid). She also played the pants off of Nadine in Drugstore Cowboy, aided only by her hair, makeup and wardrobe (also 'secondarily' supported by the director, cast and crew). These included:
Colourful, oversized cropped tops
Tiny denim cutoffs
Big bouncy, sexy hair
A colourful and soft pallete of clours
And fresh makeup complete with big doe eyes
To that equation, I'm going to add thigh high boots, sheer fabrics, backless tops, and generally tiny hemlines, to create the look I have in mind.
So, now and only now that I have MY overall direction and inspiration, I'm ready to take a look at what Fashion Month (the Holy Holidays) had to offer, and see who/where I can collaborate with on this front. Nice. :o)
As for the title... watch the movie.
