Lola Loves: The Tailored Waist

Yesterday must have been heaven in Paris -- Balmain, Balenciaga, and Rick Owens all showed their F/W 09 Collections -- to much critical acclaim. Yum. But what caught my eye was a little more unexpected. We all know it's the year of the shoulder, but who knew there was such amazing waist tailoring about?

I'm a down-to-earth fashionista, and I'm always on the lookout for a wearable trend that translates to the fabulous women of real life. I love the geometric shapes like triangles pieced together to accentuate the waist. Clearly there's something here for every woman to love!
